Ground & Growth Therapy

Cherry Blossom.png

Hi, my name is Rhoen.

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. My academic and professional journey is driven by a strong dedication to supporting individuals through meaningful, person-centred approaches.

I began my career as a team lead in a day program supporting adults with developmental disabilities, including individuals on the autism spectrum disorder and those with Down syndrome. This experience enhanced my ability to lead with empathy, adapt to diverse needs, and create supportive, inclusive environments. I also completed clinical and community-based placements, including one at Family Services Ottawa, where I gained experience supporting individuals and families through different emotional and life challenges.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, aiming to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported in exploring growth and change at their own pace.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy travelling, discovering new food experiences, reading, and following Formula 1. I also have a strong personal and professional interest in autism and neurodiversity, which continues to inform my practice.
